Biography:

Buzz Lightyear is a central character in Disney Pixar's *Toy Story* franchise. He first appears in the original *Toy Story* film (1995) as a space ranger action figure.

Initially, Buzz is unaware that he is a toy, believing himself to be a real space ranger on a mission from Star Command. This delusion creates conflict with Woody, the cowboy doll and de facto leader of Andy's toys.

Throughout the series, Buzz develops deep friendships with Woody and the other toys, eventually embracing his identity as a toy and prioritizing the well-being of his friends and his child owner.
